NEWBURY POLICE DEPARTMENT
FULL TIME PATROLMAN
The Newbury New Hampshire Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Patrolman, both certified and non-certified police officers looking for a new opportunity are encouraged to apply. Town of Newbury full-time police officers receive 12 paid holidays, excellent health and dental coverage, generous vacation time, and a take home police cruiser.
Salary ranges from $56,160- $72,800 annually.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants for the Newbury Police Department must:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a high school graduate or possess a GED certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Live within 5 miles of any of the Town’s borders within 1 year. (On-Call Hours are required).
- College education and/or military experience are highly desirable.
- Additionally, you must meet the basic hiring criteria which will consist of a passed physical agility test, oral board, and an extensive background investigation.
ABOUT NEWBURY PD
Newbury currently has 5 Full-Time Officers and 2 Part-Time Officers. Newbury is home to Mt. Sunapee and Lake Sunapee which creates large increases in population during summer and winter months.
TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
Passing physical agility test, as well as an oral board.
