Applications are now being accepted for the position of Entry Level Police Officer with the Connecticut State Capitol Police Department. Applicants must be 21 years old before the start of the police academy. State Capitol Police Officers patrol a seventeen-acre campus in Downtown Hartford, including the State Capitol and Legislative Office Buildings, garages, and supporting State offices. We work in partnership with the City of Hartford and State Police Departments. Applications will be accepted until vacancies are filled. Minimum Qualifications:
>Current valid CPCA Entry Level Police Officer exam score. Please visit https://www.policeapp.com/ to learn about CPCA exam dates.
>Current valid CHIP card at the time of application.
>Have no Class A or Class B misdemeanor convictions or any act of perjury or false statement.
>Have no felony convictions.
>Have reached 21st birthday.
>Deadline is 4/21/24. Applications will be reviewed and an oral board scheduled once a month until positions are filled or the process expires
Candidates will be selected for interviews based on a review of their application materials and exam scores. Th first round of oral board interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of 11/18/24.
