JOB DUTIES:

• Conduct a diverse array of patrols by foot, vehicle, snowmobile, boat, and ATV in an assigned
• patrol district to detect and deter violations of state laws.
• Issue tickets, warnings, citations, and make custodial arrests.
• Respond to and investigate complaints of violations. Collect evidence, statements, compile
• affidavits and reports, and provide testimony in civil and criminal court.
• Conduct complex criminal investigations, not limited to fish and wildlife violations.
• Participate in search and rescue operations for lost or missing persons.
• Prevent and resolve human-wildlife conflicts involving big game animals, dangerous, diseased,
• or nuisance wildlife.
• Apprehend poachers, investigate illegal taking of wildlife, wildlife trade, and the over utilization
• of fish or wildlife species
• Provide assistance to other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies during incidents
• and investigations throughout the state
• Collects a variety of biological data from various fish, animals, and birds.
• Recreational vehicle enforcement to include conducting boat, ATV, and snowmobile patrols.
• Interact with the sporting public through compliance checks.
• Partner with Fish and Wildlife Department Outreach through community and public speaking
• events throughout the state.
• Participate in a variety of educational programs to encourage and educate new outdoor
• enthusiasts with hunting, fishing, and trapping practices.
