HILLSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT
SLEO CLASS III
The Hillside Police Department is looking to hire Class 3 Special Law Enforcement Officers to perform school and safety duties within the Hillside Public School District.
The position will pay $35/hour and require completion of a 40 hour School Resource Officer Class.
The following are the minimum requirements:
- The applicant MUST be a retired law enforcement officer who has previously served as a duly qualified, full time officer in any municipality, county, agency of this State, bi-state agency, or federal agency, and must be living in New Jersey.
- Applicant MUST be retired in good standing, with a break in service of no more than 3 years of appointment to this position.
- Applicant MUST provide a letter of good standing issued by the Chief of Police listing the date and type of retirement.
- Applicant MUST be less than 65 years of age.
- Applicant MUST possess a NJ Police Training Commission Basic Police Officer Certification.
- Applicant MUST successfully pass a background investigation, medical examination, psychological examination and drug testing.
