The mission of the Barrington Police Department is to preserve order, protect the community from the lawless, provide law enforcement related services to the community, and ensure there is a feeling of security for our residents. These mandated functions will be performed without bias, prejudice, or favoritism toward anyone or group; and there will be strict adherence to the provisions and guarantees set forth by the Constitution of the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, and according to the laws of the land.
The Borough of Barrington is a 1.6 square mile town in New Jersey. We have about 7500 residents, and have a mix of single family homes and multifamily apartment complexes. US Route 30 runs through Barrington and we have entrances to both Route 295 North and South.
