The Willimantic Police Department was established in 1893 and currently consists of 42 sworn officers with headquarters at the Public Safety Complex
WILLIMANTIC POLICE DEPARTMENT is located at 22 Meadow St. The department is lead by Chief Paul Hussey and is a full service law enforcement agency, providing 24-hour service and protection to our community and its residents. The dedicated men and women of the Willimantic Police Department are committed to providing quality service while working cooperatively with the community to enforce the laws, preserve peace, and provide a safe environment thus improving the quality of life of our residents.

The mission is to prevent crime, preserve order, and to protect the rights, lives, and property of the citizens of Willimantic, Connecticut. These services will be efficient and effectively rendered with the most effective expenditure of available resources, and delivered courteously and professionally.
