Authorized Strength of 97 Sworn Officers

Many Bureaus and Specialized Units: Patrol, Traffic, Community Policing, Investigations, Narcotics, Burglary, Warrants, Juvenile, Training, Accreditation, Identification, Computers, Records.

Officers participate as members of regional SWAT team, the County-Wide Rapid Deployment Force, and Federal Task Forces with agencies such as the DEA and ICE.

Serves a diverse community with a population of 42,000 residents.

The Teaneck Police Department is accredited by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.
