We provide 24/7 Police service to the residents, businesses, and visitors of Pocono Township. The department is responsible for a jurisdiction covering 35 square miles, with 126 miles of roadway and a population of over 12,000. Department Overview
Located in the center of Monroe County, The Pocono Township Police Department was formed in 1968 with one patrolman. The current Police Department consists of twenty (20) full-time officers. The department leadership administration consists of a Chief of Police, a Patrol Sergeant, and a Detective Sergeant. Four (4) Corporals manage twelve (12) patrol officers working several platoons in 12-hour shifts. There are two (2) Detectives and two (2) full-time civilian administrative staff.
