NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR

OVERNIGHT DISPATCHER

The River Edge Police Department (REPD) seeks qualified applicants to join our team as a part time overnight dispatcher. REPD Dispatchers are responsible for the effective and efficient processing of emergency and non-emergency calls as well as handling radio communications.

Duties include:

• Receive and field emergency and non-emergency phone calls
• Dispatch appropriate public safety personnel in a professional and timely manner
• Record and track calls for service in a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system
• Process AOC, DMV, NLETS, NJLETS, and NCIC inquiries and entries for law enforcement officers

Applicants must possess the following qualifications and certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or greater
• Read, write, speak English well
• Be of good moral character

The compensation for this position is $24.23 per hour.

Experience preferred but will train.
