FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER

The Town of Plaistow, NH, is seeking applicants for an immediate opening for Police Officer. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience in the law enforcement field; college degree preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and excellent communication and writing skills. The department is seeking an individual with the ability to maintain professionalism while providing quality community safety services assuring equal treatment for all. Must be able to meet current requirements set forth by the NH Police Standards and Training Council, which can be viewed at http://www.pstc.nh.gov/faqs.htm#coopers.  

Certified Officers are encouraged to apply. $20,000 hiring bonus for full-time certified officers. Candidates will be required to complete a physical agility test, professional interview, polygraph, medical and psychological examinations, and must pass an extensive background investigation.

The starting hourly rate is based on a step progression from $27.64 - 38.19

Generous benefit package, including participation in the New Hampshire Retirement System.
