EAST GREENWICH POLICE DEPARTMENT
The East Greenwich Police Department is a full service department that prides itself on exceptional service to the community. The department is led by Colonel Stephen J. Brown, and is comprised of three main divisions; Administration, Patrol and Investigative.
The Administrative Division is responsible for the overall operation, direction and control of the police department. The Division assures a seamless coordination with town government and is tasked with duties such as; Policy Development, Training, Internal Affairs, and Juvenile and Elderly matters.
The Patrol Division is responsible for all calls of service, initial investigations, and traffic control and direction. The Patrol Division is staffed 7 days a week 24 hours a day and provides the public with a visible face of the East Greenwich Police Department.
The Investigative Division is responsible for investigating criminal matters, conducting interviews, and identifying and prosecuting criminal suspects. The members of this division are fully trained in crime scene recognition and processing.

Traffic and parking issues are the number one complaint handled by The East Greenwich Police Department. This department continues to dedicate itself to the resolution of these issues.
The Harbor Master is responsible for all aspects of boating safety and control within the East Greenwich Harbor District. The Harbor Master is also tasked with the identification, inspection and distribution of boat moorings within the harbor district.
