The Upper Saddle River Police Department is actively seeking qualified, professional and energetic applicants for the position of Police Officer who possess the department’s Core Values of Ethics, Integrity, Leadership, Professionalism, and Compassion.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess a New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification and License in good standing
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Must be a resident of the State of New Jersey pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122.8;
As per Upper Saddle River Borough Ordinance section 3-47 a candidate must meet the following educational requirements to be eligible for appointment to the Police Department:
- 1) A four-year college degree from an accredited college or university;
- or
- 2) At least two years of active military service with an honorable discharge, together with either a two-year college degree from an accredited college or university or the accumulation of at least 60 credits from an accredited college or university.
Selection Process:
The selection process will consist of:
1) Submission of PoliceApp application, cover letter and resume
2) Selected candidates will advance to a fitness test that will be conducted on October 26, 2024 (Notifications will be made via email)
2) Selected candidates will proceed to an oral interview conducted by an interview board consisting of the Hiring Committee chosen by the Chief of Police.
