JOB PREREQUISITES

  • Law Enforcement Council (LEC) Written Exam
  • 21 Years of age at the time of appointment
  • High School or General Educational Development Diploma (minimum)
  • Possess a valid Connecticut Driver's License
  • No Felony Convictions
  • No DWI Convictions
  • No Class A or Class B Misdemeanor Convictions
  • No arrests/convictions of domestic violence
  • No acts of perjury or false statements 

 

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The Town of Montville is now accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer Trainee, certified and non-certified.  The Patrol Officers position involves the responsibility of the protection of life and property; the prevention, detection and investigation of crime and ordinances; and maintaining law and order.  Police Officers must use logic, common sense and their own judgement while acting alone and without supervision in emergencies.  Successful candidates should prepare to begin training during the year 2024.  The Town of Montville offers a competitive salary and benefit package including paid sick time, paid holidays, paid vacation, personal time, a 5/3 schedule with bid shift three times a year, an optional town administrated 457 deferred compensation plan, MERF and premium pay for extra duty.
