Job Announcement:
The City of Central Falls is seeking qualified individuals who are currently certified by the Rhode Island Police Officers Commission on Standards and Training (POST).
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- Minimum of 20 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- POST certification
- Conditional offer candidates must successfully complete: a medical examination, a psychological examination, an extensive employment background investigation, and confirmation as a lateral transfer by the POST.
Salary and Benefits:
- $61,687 base salary (upon successful completion of probation period)
- $1,000 annual retention bonus
- $1,000 annual clothing allowance
- Longevity incentives
- Tuition reimbursement
- Educational annual bonus: $500 for officers holding a bachelor’s degree; and $1,000 bonus for officers holding a master’s degree.
- Enrollment in RI MERS retirement system
- Enrollment in health coverage (BCBS/Dental/Vision)
- Fourteen (14) paid federal holidays
- Accrued vacation days, sick time, and personal days
