WOODBURY HEIGHTS POLICE DEPARTMENT
POLICE OFFICER HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT
The Woodbury Heights Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full time Police Officer. The starting salary is $44,223- to $45,107. The closing date for submitting applications is September 13, 2019 at 11:59 PM. Applicants must apply online at www.policeapp.com/WoodburyHeightsNJ. There is a $20.00 application fee.
Applicants must minimally possess the following qualifications:
- Have a valid Basic Police Officer Certification from the New Jersey Police Training Commission, New Jersey Police Academy Alternate Route Graduate, or SLEO II candidates within their waiver period.
- Be a citizen of the United States and the State of New Jersey.
- Be able to read and write in the English language
- Not have been convicted of any violations of the laws of the State of New Jersey or the United States, except minor traffic offenses, nor shall have been convicted of any crime or offense involving moral turpitude
- Must be between 21 and 35 years old
- Bachelor degree required from an accredited college or university or an associate's degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university plus 24 months of satisfactory employment as a police officer and or an Honorable Discharge from the U.S Military
- Have a valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Submit to a complete background investigation
- Submit to and successfully pass a written, medical and psychological exam
- Submit to and successfully complete a physical fitness test and oral interview
- Submit to and successfully pass drug screening

THE PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST AND WRITTEN EXAMINATION WILL BE ADMINISTERED ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2019 BEGINNING AT 5:00PM ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD AT GATEWAY REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL FOLLOWED BY THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION. THIS IS THE ONLY NOTIFICATION FOR THE DATE OF THE P.T. AND WRITTEN TEST
