Hiring Police Recruit

Required Qualifications:
- 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment;
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and citizen of the United States;
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license;
- Applicants must be of good moral and ethical character.
Physical Qualifications:
Candidates will be required to pass and adhere to the following physical requirements;
- Vertical Jump of at least (15 inches, 3 attempts)
- 28 Sit-ups in one (1) minute
- 300 Meter Run in (70.1 seconds or less)
- 24 Push-up in one (1) minute
- 1.5 Mile Run in (15:55 minutes or less)
Process:
- Detailed application;
- Physical Abilities test;
- Initial oral interview process;
- Command level interview process with Paulsboro Police Administration;
- Complete and pass an extensive background investigation;
- Complete and pass a psychological and medical examination to include a drug screening test;
- Attend and complete a NJ PTC certified Police Academy.

Incentives:
- 2025 Top Patrol Officer Base Salary (not including incentives): $111,100.00 (seven steps)
