NJPTC CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER - HIRING PROCESS
Thank you for your interest in the Ridgefield Park Police Department. We are an accredited police agency with a highly respected tradition of excellence in police service. Members of our agency are professionals who proudly perform law enforcement services on a daily basis for the citizens and all those who pass through the Village.
We are currently accepting resumes for NJ PTC Certified Candidates.
Interested parties must meet the following criteria:
- * Be a citizen of the Unites States
- * Be a resident of New Jersey with a valid NJ Driver's License
- * Be able to read, write, and speak the English language
- * Healthy both physical and mentally
- * Of good moral character, no convictions for criminal offenses of moral turpitude
- * Possess a valid NJ PTC certification
- * As per 40A: 14-127, candidates shall be between 18-35 years of age at the time of appointment
- * Not be prohibited from purchasing, owning, possessing or controlling a firearm as per 2C:39-7 or prohibited from obtaining a firearms ID card or Permit to Purchase a handgun as per 2C:58-3
