CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICER and/or (SLEO II)
The Washington Township Police Department (Warren County) Is accepting applications for NJ-PTC Certified Officers and Class Two Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO II).
The Washington Township Police Department has 27 full time police officers and provides police services to the Township of Washington, Washington Borough and the Township of Oxford.
Applications must be submitted via Policeapp.com and are due by 05/01/2025.
Applicants must meet the following requirements;
- All applicants must meet the qualifications as specified in N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122.
- Must satisfy all requirements of police licensing pursuant to NJSA 52:17B.
- Must not have been convicted of a crime or arrested and found guilty of a motor
vehicle offense. - Applicants must possess a Police Training Certification (PTC) or Class Two Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO II) Certification.
- Applicants must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license and be a resident of the State of New Jersey at the time of appointment.
- Applicants must successfully pass a medical and physical fitness examination, a thorough personal background check, a psychological examination, a complete drug and alcohol screening and an oral interview.
As per Appendix C of the current contract, Step 1 is $49,939.20 and step 9 is $125,363.25. Compensation will be determined on level of experience. Cover letter, resume, application and PTC or SLEO II certifications should be sent via PoliceApp.com.
