SPECIAL 3 POLICE OFFICER
The Hackensack Police Department is currently accepting resumes for the position of Special 3 Police Officer.
The Special 3 officers will operate in a designated school and act as not only protection for the school, but also a liaison to the police department. Special 3 officer must be retired NEW JERSEY law enforcement officers, who attended a certified New Jersey Police Academy. Special 3 officers work hours are in line with the normal operations of the school days.
Applicants will be subject to an extensive background investigation including the review of all employment records. Applicants must also submit to and pass both a medical and psychological evaluation. The Hackensack Police Department is an accredited agency. Special 3 Officers supplement Patrol Officers and will receive training, including range qualifications and active shooter training. Special 3 officers must be in good physical condition and capable of adhering to the requirements incumbent with the training.
