Job Announcement:
The Borough of Roselle Park seeks a law enforcement professional to serve as a Patrolman within the Roselle Park Police Department. Under the command of the Chief of Police and designated ranking officers, a successful candidate will perform all duties of a uniformed Police Officer within the Borough of Roselle Park pursuant to applicable federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and regulations. The following must apply to or be possessed by the applicant:

Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Be a resident of the State of New Jersey and a citizen of the Unites States.

Possess a valid New Jersey driver license.

Be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Have graduated from High School or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED);

Have the ability to perform all the tasks and duties of a Police Officer.

Be of good moral character and have not been convicted of any criminal offence involving moral turpitude.

Possess a full police training certificate by the New Jersey Police Training Commission (PTC), be a graduate of or enrolled in a State of New Jersey Alternate Route Training Program (fully PTC certified, no waivers).

Selected candidates will be invited to participate in the oral interview portion of this application process. Selected candidates will also be subjected to a thorough police background investigation. Selected candidates given a conditional offer of employment will be required to pass both a medical and psychological evaluation along with a drug screening.
As of January 2025, the starting base salary is $64,000.00 plus benefits pursuant to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with PBA Local No. 27.
