Full-time Police Dispatcher
JOB SUMMARY:
Receives 9-1-1 calls from the public concerning crimes, emergencies, and calls for service/ Dispatching of Police, Fire and EMS units/ Relays messages to those Police, Fire and EMS units/ Operates a telephone switchboard and answers non-emergency calls/ Inputs calls into a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) & Obtains information from NCIC and state computer systems.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Telecommunicator Course, Emergency Medical Dispatch & CPR
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Must be available to work overtime on an as needed basis.
- Must be able to multi-task and work under potentially stressful conditions.
- Must have good phone skills and be able to interact with the public in a professional manner under all conditions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED/ Ability to read, write and speak English and comprehend complex or varied instructions in a manner to perform the duties of this position.
SALARY RANGE: $42,500- $52,381
Per-Diem Position(s) are also available at this time.
