The Chesterfield Township Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full time Police Officer. The Chesterfield Township Police Department, located in Burlington County, consists of 13 sworn officers serving approximately 10,000 residents within 22 square miles.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates must meet the following minimum requirements.
- Minimum age of 18, maximum age of 35 (unless actively enrolled in NJ Police & Fire Division of Pensions & Benefits)
- Proof of US Citizenship
- Proof of residency in New Jersey
- Proof of valid New Jersey driver’s license with less than 3 points Be able to read, write and speak the English language well.
- Have not been convicted of any criminal offense or offenses involving moral turpitude.
- Is sound in body and good health
- Successfully complete psychological and medical examinations.
- Successfully pass a drug screening test.
- Applicants must successfully present themselves in a manner determined satisfactory in an oral interview given by the Personnel Review Committee.
Candidates MUST possess a valid Basic Police Officer Certification or a waivable SLEO II certification or an Alternate Route certificate of graduation from the New Jersey Police Training Commission.
NJDOC Correctional Police Officer Certifications do NOT qualify.
Patrolmen salary range $50,816.00 – $114,074.00
Completive starting salary available upon approval(s)
