Class I Police Officers
The Ship Bottom Police Department is now accepting applications for Class I Police Officers
(Certified Candidates must be without any obligation to another Law Enforcement Department)
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age and a US Citizen
- Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must be a resident of New Jersey at the time of appointment
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language well and intelligently
- Must be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crime
Hiring Process:
- Review of submitted application
- Complete background investigation
- Formal interview
- Medical, Psychological, and Drug exams upon receipt of conditional offer of employment
- Sign a one-year seasonal commitment letter for 2025
Salary:
- Competitive salary to be determined at time of appointment
