Minimum candidate qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and under the maximum age established by law
• Must have United States Citizenship
• Must be a New Jersey resident and possess a NJ Driver's License by time of appointment
• Must be of good moral character and have not been convicted of any crime
• Must be able to read and write well and intelligently
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED

The Harding Township Police Department selection process consists of:

Submission of a pre-employment application, cover letter, resume and PTC certificate (IF APPLICABLE)

• Oral interviews
• Background check
• Medical/psychological exams/Urinalysis
