PENNINGTON BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT

FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER

The Pennington Borough Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Probationary Police Officer. This Job posting is for immediate hire. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis as applications are received. 

APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS A CURRENT NJ PTC CERTIFICATION OR WAIVER ELIGIBLE CERTIFICATION FROM A CERTIFIED NJ POLICE ACADEMY IN ORDER TO APPLY. Applications from candidates who are currently enrolled in an Alternate Route BCPO Course will be accepted.

Our department is comprised of six officers, two sergeant's, three patrol officers and one detective. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, proactive and interested in working in a close-knit, community-oriented police department.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States.
• Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Shall have graduated from high school or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED)
• Ability to perform all the tasks and duties of a Police Officer as per NJ PTC requirements
• No indictable criminal history conviction and of good moral character.
