HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT

The High Bridge Borough Police Department is NOW ACCEPTING applications for the position of POLICE OFFICER. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Citizen of the United States and resident of the State of New Jersey;
• Be at least a high school graduate or have earned a General Educational Development (GED) diploma;
• Is the holder of a driver’s license that is valid in New Jersey;
• Received an honorable discharge from military service, if applicant served;
• Able to otherwise meet all requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122 to 40A:14-127.1;
• Must be become licensed as a law enforcement officer in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:17B-71a et seq., and N.J.A.C. 13:1 et seq.;

HIRING PROCESS:

• Initial Application
• Written Exam (waived for Currently NJPTC Certified: BCPO or Waiver Eligible Certifications (N.J.A.C. 13:1-8.4))
• Department Interview
• Background Investigation in accordance with N.J.A.C. 13:1-10.3
• Police Committee Interview
• Conditional Offer of Employment
• Medical Screening (N.J.A.C. 13:1-10.4)
• Drug Screening (N.J.A.C.13:1-10.5)
• Psychological Screening (N.J.A.C. 13:1-8.1(e) or 10.6)
