STAFFORD TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT
Full and Part Time POLICE OFFICER
The Stafford Township Police Department is now accepting applications for the positions of full-time Police Officer, full time Class 2 Special Officer and part time Class 2 Special Officer. The closing date for applications will be: Friday May 16, 2025
Applicants must:
- All requirements must be met by date of application deadline
- Be at least 21 years of age and no older than 35 years of age
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a resident of New Jersey and have a valid NJ driver’s license
- Have earned 60 credits from an accredited college or university OR
- Have 4 years of active duty military service
- Be of sound moral character verified by a background investigation

Phase 1 - Physical fitness indicator test

REMINDER: A mouthpiece is required to take the boxing portion of the physical fitness indicator test.
Minimum passing score = 300
Phase 2 - Written exam
- Thursday May 22, 2025 at 6:00 pm

Phase 3 - Initial interview (scheduled upon passing physical and written portions)
Phase 4 - Background investigation (scheduled upon passing initial interview)
Phase 5 - Oral interview (scheduled upon passing background)
Phase 6 - Medical clearance (scheduled as a condition of employment)
