Fair Lawn Police Department
Now accepting applications for Police Officer
The Fair Lawn Police Department is accepting applications from qualified New Jersey PTC certified candidates currently employed by a Civil Service agency for the position of Police Officer, via Inter-Governmental Transfer -OR- Alternate Route Candidates currently enrolled in a NJ Police Academy. Class I or Class II officers are NOT eligible. This announcement is for two positions.
We are a municipal Police Department, currently at 61 sworn officers. We serve a community of over 35,000 residents covering 5.2 square miles.

Responsibilities:
- Patrolling an area effectively.
- Providing high quality customer service to the community.
- Fulfilling the duties of a police officer.
- Using proper communication techniques.
- Enforcing the law and ensuring safety.
- Detecting criminal activity by questioning suspects and witnesses and analyzing evidence.
- Developing detailed case reports.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting pay range is $51,000 to $80,000

- 12 hour shift, 4 on & 4 off
- Day shift
- Night shift
