FULL TIME PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATOR
SALARY $35,000-73,446
The Lincoln Park Police Department is seeking applicants for Full-Time Public Safety Telecommunicator (PST). PSTs will be responsible for handling phone calls from the public and radio communications for Police, Fire and EMS. Additionally, PST’s must be able to input calls into a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and process information through local/state/national databases.
PST’s will work a rotating 12-hour shift (day and night) to include holidays and weekends. Full time PSTs are eligible for health benefits, paid sick and vacation leave. Upon successfully completing training, PSTs are eligible for overtime.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Read, write, and speak English
• Be of good moral character
SALARY RANGE
• No experience $35,000 with $5,000 raise after first year
• Certified PST through Civil Service or experience $44,000 - $66,922
• Certified Senior PST through Civil Service $45,000 - $73, 446
