PITTSFIELD, NH POLICE DEPARTMENT

POLICE OFFICER

$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS OFFERED FOR NH CERTIFIED OFFICERS!

We are looking for a responsible Police Officer to maintain law and order, protect members of the public and their properties, prevent crime and improve citizens' quality of life. The goal is to achieve community safety and crime reduction. A $15,000.00 sign-on bonus is being offered to NH Certified Officers.

Pittsfield, NH is located in central New Hampshire, 15 minutes from Concord and 30 minutes from Manchester.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

Applicants must be 20 years of age or older, possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, and have a valid Drivers License. College degree or military experience preferred.

Applicants will be required to pass a written exam, medical exam, physical fitness test, oral board, extensive background investigation, polygraph test, and psychological evaluation.

SCHEDULE:

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Deter crimes and assure community through high-visibility policing 
  • Patrol assigned areas and monitor activities to protect people/property 
  • Investigate crimes and apprehend suspected law violators
  • Observe and respond to various situations or emergencies
  • Follow rules, guidelines, and protocols
  • Conduct initial investigations
  • Gather evidence and ensure successful prosecutions 
  • Produce internal reports and provide feedback on case status
  • Deal with case paperwork and administrative procedures
  • Foster good public relationships and liaise with the community groups or individuals
  • Coordinate operations with other emergency services
  • Attend and provide evidence in court
