Job Announcement:

The Borough of Middletown Police Department is hiring full time police officers – See if you have what it takes! 

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

- Be a United States Citizen
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid PA driver's license
- Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Be physically and mentally fit to perform all duties, as per MPOETC regulations
- Must pass a complete background investigation

- Act 120 Certification is preferred but NOT required

Hiring Incentives

- If you are currently employed as a PA police officer, or are eligible for immediate Act 120 certification, you are eligible for a hiring bonus of $7,500.  The hiring bonus is payable in $2,500 increments at the completion of each of your first three years of service. 

 - A lateral transfer of up to four years or previous service as a MPOETC certified police officer for the purpose of determining your pay rate.

The physical agility test and the written test will both occur on Saturday, April 11, 2026 starting at 0900 hrs.  The location of the testing is yet to be determined; however, it will be in the Middletown area.

Starting salary is $60,021 increasing to $88,327 with six years of service.
