JUVENILE DETENTION SPECIALIST

THIS POSITION is responsible for providing direct supervision and guidance of delinquent youth in all daily living activities in secure setting, while maintaining the safety and security of staff and residents.

NOTE: This position is required to work rotating shifts which may include weekends, holidays and nights.

  • $21.21 (includes $.50 per hour shift differential)

  • This position is required to work non-traditional, flexible work schedules, including weekends and holidays and variable shifts including nights.

DO YOU QUALIFY?

  • Do you have a Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree in a related field + 2 years’ experience?
  • OR Do you have a HS diploma and at least 4 years’ experience in a related field?

PLEASE NOTE: COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE CONSIDERED

  • Do you have the ability to obtain Idaho P.O.S.T certification?
  • Do you have a driver’s license or are eligible to obtain one?
  • Are you able to pass basic skills test? (spelling, grammar, math, reasoning)
