EAST HANOVER POLICE DEPARTMENT
IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR
Police Officer
Applications will be accepted until Wednesday September 8, 2021 @ 6:00 p.m.
POLICE OFFICER – The TOWNSHIP OF EAST HANOVER POLICE DEPARTMENT, Morris County is accepting applications for a Probationary Police Officer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University by December 31, 2021
- Must be ages 18-35
- Must be a citizen of the United States
- Must be a resident of New Jersey at the time of appointment
- Lateral transfers must complete entire testing process and if appointed start at entry level salary
NO STUDY GUIDES WILL BE OFFERED.
WRITTEN EXAMINATION
The written examination will be administered at the following place and time:
Morris County Public Safety Training Academy - AUDITORIUM
500 West Hanover Avenue
Parsippany, NJ 07054
Wednesday September 15, 2021
6:00 pm (SHARP)
On the day of the exam, two forms of identification are required (one form must have a current photograph). A photo driver’s license is preferred. Registration will begin at 5:00 p.m. on a first-come first-served basis.
The following rules apply:
- All applicants must be present and seated at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the examination.
- All applicants must bring at least two (2) No. 2 pencils with erasers
- There will be no talking or interaction once the exam begins
- The test will take approximately 2 ½ hours to complete
- No food or beverages are permitted in the auditorium
- No cell phones or smart watches are permitted in the auditorium during the exam
PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST

Individual evaluation will consist of the following exercises:
300 Meter Run
Pull-Ups
Push-Ups
Sit-Ups
1.5 Mile Run

- Physical Agility Test
- First Interview
- Second Interview
- Background Process
- Academy Training
