ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER
Minimum Qualifications:
- Resident of New Jersey and Citizen of the United States
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Possess a valid Class II Special Officer Certificate
- Must be of good moral character, sound body, and good health
- No criminal record
- Able to pass medical examination, psychological evaluation, background examination, and drug screening
Police Officers appointed will receive a competitive salary starting at $52,974. Officers receive 15 paid holidays, 84 hours of vacation, and 50 hours of personal time. Competitive health, prescription, dental, and vision plans. Officers work a 12-hour "Pitman Schedule" and receive 80 hours of sick time per year.
