Borough of Naugatuck Police Officer 


The Borough of Naugatuck is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer. The Borough of Naugatuck will be accepting applications from current certified officers.              

Oral interview date(s) are to be determined and applicants will receive an invitation to interview via email. The Borough of Naugatuck offers an excellent fringe benefits package including a defined contribution retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, health, dental, and vision insurance. The current salary range for certified Police Officer is $62,510.00 to $80,281.00 annually depending on experience.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Be 21 years of age at time of appointment

  • Be a U.S. Citizen

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED

  • Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license

  • Possess a valid Chip Card at the time of written examination

  • Pass written exam, Chief of Police interview & Police Commission interview

  • Candidates must successfully complete and pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological interview/test, and comprehensive medical examination including drug/alcohol screening.

Failure to meet any of these requirements will disqualify you for employment as a Police Officer with the Borough of Naugatuck.
