The Doylestown Township Police Department is creating an eligibility list and is accepting applications from interested and qualified candidates for the position of a police officer. General Information:
The Doylestown Township Police Department consists of twenty (23) full-time officers, headed by Chief of Police Charles Zeigler with one (1) Lieutenant, four (4) Patrol Sergeants, one (1) Detective Corporal, two (2) Detectives, fourteen (14) Patrol Officers, and three (3) civilian employees. The agency provides 24/7 service to the residents, businesses, and visitors of Doylestown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Department is responsible for a jurisdiction covering 16 square miles with a population more than 17,000 residents. The community consists of a diverse mixture of residential, commercial, and agricultural areas. Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Must be currently an ACT 120 certified police officer or currently enrolled in a police academy.
