*ADDITIONAL BENEFITS APPLY TO THE FIRST TEN (10) HIRED November 4, 2022 to June 30, 2023
*Bonus: $10,000 lump sum payment issued upon successful completion of the 12 month probationary period to those hired under this incentive period.
*Salary Range: Up to $86,200/year*
Salary will be the same or as reasonably proximate to your previous employer compensation based on the Bristol Police CBA salary schedule.
(Step 3-$73,731 Step 4-$76,673 Step 5-$79,721 Step 6-$82,904 Step 7-$86,200 Note: Shall advance to next highest Step, if any, on your anniversary date of employment.)
*Vacation: Upon hire, level of vacation will be the same or as reasonably proximate to your previous employer according to Bristol Police CBA vacation accrual schedule.
*Sick Leave: Upon hire will receive 12 days (96 hrs) of Sick Leave credit, thereafter Sick Leave accrued will be in accordance with the Bristol Police CBA.

General Notice: The City of Bristol is accepting applications for Connecticut Certified Police Officer testing to establish a lateral certification eligibility list for filling vacancies. Testing includes: Written exam, oral exam, background investigation, psychological, polygraph & physical exam.
Physical Ability: Currently the City is does not require a valid CHIP Certificate meeting the 40th percentile, however reserves the right to require said certificate at any time during the process.
Qualifications: Requires valid CT POST Certification for 2 or more years, CT Driver’s License, high school graduate or equivalent, and U.S. Citizen.
