ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

It is an exciting time at the Argyle Police Department as we continue to grow in both population and professionalism. This is an excellent place to work and call home. Argyle is ranked as the top public-school system in Texas, based on the Lone Star Cup awards, and is home to the top private school in the state of Texas, Liberty Christian. Our economy and tax base are strong as we grow, yet we continue to maintain our rural feel by design.

We have a relaxed employee atmosphere where you can make a difference each day, and you will find that you are an important part of a team here instead of just a badge number.   Located in one of the fastest growing regions in the county, we are adding officers on a yearly basis.  We have a strong commitment to service in the community, demand excellence in everything we do, and focus our efforts in that direction.  As part of the hiring process, you will take part in a ride-along where one of our patrol officers will give you the opportunity to discuss what it is like to work for the Argyle Police Department.  We are certain you will come away from this experience understanding just how special this department is.

We have a heavy commitment to evolution in the police department and consistently update or upgrade our equipment and policies to remain modern and relevant.  Officers are provided with every piece of equipment necessary to be successful in their job, including all uniforms, duty gear, rifle rated everyday patrol armor, Shadow Systems DR920 9mm pistols with Holosun optic, Taser 7, custom patrol rifle and branded polos to wear during training.

We serve one of the most supportive communities you will find anywhere in Texas!  Argyle citizens demand a high level of service, and provide tangible appreciation and encouragement in return.

Our schedules are flexible 12-hour shifts, and we strive to keep the family first when arranging for time off.  The command staff understands that our people are our most valuable resource and works to place every officer in a position to grow and improve.  A modern facial hair and tattoo policy is in place.  We have a competitive employee benefits and pay package and our retirement system is the best TMRS has to offer.

Argyle PD is an Equal Opportunity Employer
