The Simsbury Police Department is a CALEA and State of Connecticut accredited organization striving to provide the highest quality service to our community.  We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated people who are interested in a rewarding career as a law enforcement professional.

Located approximately 10 miles northwest of the capital city of Hartford, Simsbury has 24,015 residents (2018 CERC) in 34.5 square miles.  The Police Department is authorized to have 42 sworn members, 7 civilian dispatchers, 1 animal control officer, 3 clerks (2 full time and 1 part time) 1 secretary and 1 accreditation specialist.  The Department provides emergency and investigative services and various other services such as safety seat inspections, crime prevention programs, adult and junior police academies, etc.
