About Us

The City of Pawtucket has had a full time police force since it's incorporation in 1886. The police department has a compliment of one hundred fifty (165) sworn police officers with approximately fifty (50) civilian support personnel. The Pawtucket police department is a full service, full time police department operating 24-7, 365 days/year.

The Chief's Message

The mission of the Pawtucket Police Department is to protect life, property and civil order while creating and maintaining a proactive partnership with our residential and business community in an effort to enhance public safety and reduce the fear and incidence of crime within the City of Pawtucket. We shall endeavor to improve the quality of life in our City by diligently identifying and addressing public safety and community concerns.
