Process of Hiring Full Time Police Officer
Pursuant to Civil Service Commission Rules
The Dallas Borough Civil Service Commission announces the beginning of the process for hiring a Full Time Police Officer. Application and other forms required to be completed in order to apply for the position of Full Time Police Officer are available at www.policeapp.com.
A Full Time Police Officer will be selected on the basis of civil service commission procedure/ rules adopted on November 21, 2018, as amended.
- Applications must be received by Dallas Borough or through www.policeapp.com by April 14, 2025.
- A written examination will be held at 10:00 am on May 2, 2025 at the Dallas Borough Municipal Building, 25 Main Street, Dallas PA 18612.
- A physical agility test will be conducted at a date, time and location to be determined.\
- An oral examination which is another mandatory component of the process will be conducted at a later date/time.
Candidates who are named to the Eligibility List and/or certified to Dallas Borough Council for potential appointment will be subject to any or all of the following, a background check, a medical examination, and a psychological examination. A complete copy of the Dallas Borough’s hiring policy, as set forth in its Civil Service Rules, is available for inspection during regular business hours at the Dallas Borough Administration Office.
